The Calgary Folk Music Festival returned July 21-24, 2022.

Over the bridge and across the island, an enchanting adventure took place at the Calgary Folk Music Festival, presented by ATB. A magical weekend of song and dance featuring artists from near and far took over Prince’s Island Park from July 21–24. 🕊🎺✨

See you next year! The 44th annual Calgary Folk Music Festival will be held July 27-30, 2023.

A magical weekend in the heart of Calgary

The annual Festival is a four-day family-friendly cultural and musical extravaganza. Featuring 70 artists from Alberta, Canada, and the world perform on five daytime and two evening stages in concerts and sessions — unpredictable mash-ups where artists collaborate in unique and unexpected ways, sharing songs and stories. It’s a destination event and essential community gathering for 53,000 Calgarians and tourists, run by 2,000 community volunteers.

Artist in residence: Geneva L. Haley

Calgary Folk Music Festival's 2022 artwork was created by this year’s artist-in-residence, central Alberta illustrator and designer Geneva L. Haley. With her whimsical storytelling through illustration, Haley created a portal to an enchanting and dreamlike world on Prince's Island Park — perfectly matching the Festival's charming and adventurous spirit.
